Interview with Wondrous Drifter: Transforming the Travel Industry with Web 3.0 Revolution

1) Please tell us something about yourself/your business.

The world is evolving faster than ever, and every industry is being disruptive. With new technologies, new ways of doing things are constantly being invented. The travel industry is large, and with the upcoming Web 3.0 revolution, we believe in changing the way the travel industry currently works.

Wondrousdrifter.com aims to disrupt the travel industry by taking advantage of blockchain technologies. Web 3.0 will change how value is transferred online, and users will no longer be content with exchanging information. Online tipping will likely be part of this exciting new future, and content creators will have access to more revenue-generating opportunities. Today’s online communities will change drastically in the next 10 to 20 years. Businesses will have to adapt or perish. Wondrous Drifter aims to be a leading Web 3 travel company.

2) How did you get into what you do right now? Please tell us more about your journey?

I am passionately curious in nature, and Wondrousdrifter.com is an idea born out of my passion for travel, web technologies and cryptocurrencies during one of my many brainstorming sessions. As an entrepreneur, we constantly ask ourselves how things can be done faster, cheaper and better.

Travel is a big industry and highly fragmented. There are many opportunities for anyone in this industry or intending to enter this industry.

3) Who are your role models?

Elon Musk. Whether you like him or not, most people agree that Elon Musk is attempting to do great things for humanity. What he is trying to accomplish is mind-blowing and inspiring. One of my favorite quotes from him is “”Persistence is very important. You should not give up unless you are forced to give up.”

4) What’s your most memorable experience?

My first failure in business was excruciating. Coming from a humble family and repaying $100,000 in debt myself over several years was grueling. However, after this incident, I emerged stronger than ever with a strong mindset. I lost over a million dollars recently, but life goes on for me as usual. I have certainly come a long way from the string of failures I had in life.

5) How has a failure set you up for later success?

Due to my string of failures, I have realized that failing is part and parcel of life, and this is the same for everyone. As long as we learn from our mistakes, we are closer to success. Perhaps the act of persevering despite failure is success in itself. Our time on earth is limited, and failures are merely minor setbacks that we must overcome to enjoy the sense of accomplishment that comes with success truly. Life is short; we came with nothing and will leave with nothing. But we can leave a legacy behind by helping others along the way.

6) When you feel unfocused, what do you do?

I turn to meditation to clear my mind. When we care enough about anything, we can seek the answers from within. Getting answers from within requires a clear head, and meditation helps. In this era of instant communication, I firmly believe we need to take time off for ourselves and listen to the “voice” within us.

7) How do you feel you make a difference in the world?

With the proliferation of mobile phones supported by faster and cheaper connectivity worldwide, Wondrousdrifter aims to help the underprivileged participate meaningfully in the travel industry. We aim to educate and promote the idea of “travel local,” tourism activities can be directed to local communities worldwide. The idea of “traveling locally” and “supporting local” during traveling creates meaningful and unique travel experiences for the tourists while supporting the locals.
